Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sparked online debate over his casual attire during a meeting with President Donald Trump.
When asked by White House correspondent Brian Glenn why he didn’t wear a suit, Zelensky responded humorously, saying, “After this war is over, I’ll wear a costume. Maybe something similar to yours, but less expensive.”
The exchange went viral, with many defending Zelensky, pointing out that figures like Elon Musk often dress casually without criticism. However, some criticized Zelensky for not dressing more formally, calling it disrespectful. It was also suggested that Zelensky’s response might have been misunderstood due to language differences, as “kostyum” in Ukrainian means “suit.”
