After briefly struggling to read the teleprompter, she admitted, “I’m completely blind,” before explaining her condition. Cataracts cause blurry vision and can lead to blindness, especially in older individuals.
Garfield, responding with kindness, assured Hawn and continued the presentation. Earlier, Garfield had shared a touching tribute, thanking Hawn for the joy her films brought to his late mother, who passed away in 2019.
