Growing up in the ’90s, our Best Friends Forever (BFFs) were the ones we had late-night phone calls with, shared gossip, and coordinated outfits. Though times have changed, some things remain the same—like spending time on the phone and pretending our matching outfits were unplanned. We’re just older now and enjoy more wine.
Best friends were like the siblings we either never had or didn’t get along with. While siblings might have been annoying, best friends were our partners in crime, whether it was making prank calls or comforting each other over crushes. These friendships shaped who we are today, despite some differences.
In the ’90s, fights with BFFs involved digital pets and dramatic notes. Today, we handle conflicts through passive-aggressive comments on social media, but the bond remains.
