British comedian Simon Brodkin, known for his alter ego Lee Nelson, disrupted the reopening event by tossing swastika-emblazoned golf balls onto the course.
Trump reportedly wanted Brodkin prosecuted, but Police Scotland persuaded him not to press charges. Instead, they escorted Brodkin to the airport, jokingly telling Trump he was deported.
Brodkin, known for pranking high-profile figures like Theresa May, Sepp Blatter, and Kanye West, later said he avoids targets like Kim Jong Un or the Queen, noting, “You need that sweet spot where people say, ‘that was funny’.”
