Franky Venegas, a member of the “Island Boys” group, was arrested in Naples, Florida, on Sunday on gun and drug charges. He faces charges of possessing a controlled substance without a prescription and possessing a firearm with an altered serial number.
Venegas was arrested after a deputy in an unmarked vehicle pulled over a yellow Corvette around 10 p.m. for ignoring a stop sign. A search revealed oxycodone pills and a gun in a bag with his name on it. The gun, spray-painted blue, had no serial number. Venegas denied owning the pills but claimed to have a prescription, which he did not have on him. He was also identified as a documented gang member/associate.
Venegas and his twin brother, Alex, gained fame as TikTok influencers in 2021 with their viral hit “I’m an Island Boy.”
