Trump posted on Truth Social that he and Melania were “looking forward” to attending the funeral, sparking criticism online. Many called the phrasing inappropriate and insensitive.
The funeral will be held at 10am local time and led by the dean of the College of Cardinals. A new Pope will be chosen after a 15–20 day conclave.
