Stephen Hawking’s prediction about the Earth’s future is becoming more concerning. Before his death in 2018, he warned that humanity had roughly 600 years left unless significant changes were made. Hawking identified population growth and energy consumption as key factors that could turn the planet into a “giant ball of fire.” At the Tencent WE Summit in 2017, he highlighted that the world’s population was doubling every 40 years, which is unsustainable.
Hawking also predicted that by 2600, the Earth would be overcrowded, and energy use would make it dangerously hot. NASA has since been monitoring the planet, providing valuable insights into these concerns. Hawking also foresaw climate change, nuclear war, artificial intelligence, and pandemics as major threats to the planet’s survival.
