Watch: Police find $10K worth of cocaine hidden under man’s wig

A man was arrested in Colombia for attempting to smuggle over $10,000 worth of cocaine hidden in his wig. The 40-year-old suspect was scheduled to fly to Amsterdam from Rafael Nunez International Airport when police made the arrest.

An officer from the Anti-Narcotics Unit noticed a suspicious body scan and discovered that the man’s wig contained over 7.76 ounces of cocaine. Security footage shows the officer cutting through the wig to reveal packets of white powder.

This arrest is part of ongoing efforts by Colombian authorities, who have arrested 450 individuals and seized over 115 kilograms of narcotics so far this year.
